Hi I'm Jude and I was a police officer for 30 years then worked as police staff with vulnerable adults and children.
As part of a birthday present in 2001 I was treated to a spa break where I discovered and decided to try Reiki for the first time. I had never heard of it but decided to give it a go and came out of the session so relaxed I had to wait at least an hour before driving home! Thus began my journey with Reiki in its various forms.
In 2013 I found my Reiki teacher, which wasn't easy as there are many different types of Reiki taught but I felt drawn to learn from a purely Japanese perspective, Usui Reiki Ryoho. For me Reiki is a spiritual journey, not religious, and has helped me to find some calm in a hectic world and, alongside sound therapy, also helps me with pain management for my arthritis. I qualified at Level 1 and Level 2 in 2016 and continue to read and learn Reiki in what I believe to be it’s purest, no frills form as taught by the founder Mikao Usui. I also studied and qualified in Ancient Egyptian Reiki Sekhem in 2017.
Although working with horses is slightly out of my comfort zone due to their size and also being trodden on by a police horse, I still feel drawn to them so, in 2018 I qualified in Animal Reiki in the same Usui Reiki Ryoho method and met my teacher whilst accompanying my nail tech on an animal communication course!
In 2019 I qualified in Tibetan Acu-Sound Table Therapy™ after seeing and experiencing a remarkable session on a sound healing chair. I decided to research several sound therapies before settling on this one, using singing bowls and therapeutic tuning forks.
I continue to read and follow current research into all the therapies I practice.
